One of the highlights of the day for area youngsters was the opportunity to dunk a locally known "celebrity" into a large tub of water. During the day several willing victims sat in the dunking booth, including Mayor Keith Snyder, members of the city fire and police departments, and folks from some of the local retail businesses.

At the time LDN was on the scene, Lincoln Junior High School Principal Kent Froebe was the target, and several of his students couldn't resist the opportunity to dunk their principal with no fear of consequences.

In these first two pictures, students throw balls at a target that will send Froebe splashing into the tank. The first two failed. But the young lady in the white and orange striped shirt was successful.

Froebe heckled the youngsters as they tried, and for the one who succeeded, it seemed to only add to her determination!

When the ball hit the target, Froebe went tumbling down into the tank of cold water.

But he was soon back up and ready to go for the next round.

In addition to fun and games, there were also opportunities for folks to take advantage of some much-needed services.

Families were invited to take advantage of a food bank offering bags of groceries and also to talk to someone from the Together for Lincoln group about help they might need around their home.
