Cindy
Kirberg, Lynn White, Lucky and Duke from the Humane Society of
Logan County attended the Atlanta Library’s "Saturday on the
Lawn" on July 14. Duke and Lucky made lots of friends in the crowd.
The Atlanta Library is hosting this event once a month. There
were contests for the dogs, bicycle "dress-ups" and refreshments. ALL animals were invited. There were even kittens and some
turtles.

Richard Heene's balloon is held for evidence in the Larimer
County sheriff's evidence area in Fort Collins, Colo. Pieces of
the infamous flying saucer that starred in Colorado's balloon
boy hoax are now available as trading cards. Michael Fruitman,
the current owner of the balloon, struck a deal with New
York-based sports and entertainment card company Topps to use a
segment of the Mylar saucer for individual trading cards.
Both Logan County Dynamite teams participated
in the national AYBT tournament at Bloomington-Normal July 19-22.
