[July 26, 2012]  LONDON (AP) -- U.S. women's gymnastics team alternate Anna Li was held out of training on Thursday following a fall during her uneven bars routine earlier in the week.

USA Gymnastics officials say Li was advised by the medical team to skip practice as a precaution. The 23-year-old Li was training in Birmingham -- about two hours northwest of London -- with the two other alternates on Tuesday when she fell.

Li was taken to the hospital, where tests revealed no injury. It's doubtful Li would be available to compete if one of the five U.S. team members is unable to go.

The women's team competition begins Sunday, with teams required to set rosters by Friday.
