Illinois country grain prices were
lower on Thursday afternoon, with soybeans sharply lower.
Fund selling at the Board of Trade
in grain futures pushed prices lower, especially in soybeans and
soybean meal.
In the cash grain markets, trading
has been very slow.
The cash corn basis did improve at
many
Illinois River terminals, with improvements of 2 to 5 cents
noted.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids mostly 2 to 7 cents lower at 5.67-5.86.
Soybean bids traded 29 to 32 cents
lower at 13.14-13.30.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 2 to 4 cents lower at 5.74-5.90.
Soybean bids were 33 to 36 cents
lower at 13.22-13.39.
 In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 3 to 5
cents lower at 5.80-6.05.
Soybean bids were 33 to 34 cents
lower at 13.27-13.42.
Wheat bids were 4 to 10 cents
lower at 6.23-6.40.
