[June 15, 2012]  McLEAN -- Explore the art of nature photography with instructor John Tobias at a workshop hosted by Sugar Grove Nature Center on June 30.

Learn to use the features of your camera while creating gorgeous photographs of the natural world. If you haven't already started taking photos for the center’s nature photography contest, this is the perfect time to start.

The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Most of the time will be spent outdoors fine-tuning your skills, so dress to be outside. Bring your camera, gear, extra batteries and a large memory card (or two).

The workshop is for ages 16 and up. Class size is limited to 10.

The fee is $15 for members of the nature center and $20 for nonmembers. Registration and prepayment are required. A form is available at www.sugargrovenaturecenter.org/registernow.pdf.
