After the second lap, with survivors and caregivers together, everyone there was invited to start taking their laps for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

As they all pass by, one can't help but notice the purple shirts and see that cancer does not discriminate. There are some very young people wearing purple, children, young adults, male and female.

Cancer also has no respect for age, gender or race. And it sometimes seems that it is no longer a question of "will I get cancer" and more a question of "when will I get cancer."
