Illinois country grain prices were
higher on Monday afternoon.
A warm and dry extended weather
forecast for the eastern cornbelt helped to push corn
and soybean futures higher.
Weekly export sales figures for
corn were above trade expectations, helping to lift corn values.
In the USDA's Weekly Crop Progress
report, the condition of the US corn crop dropped to 63% in the
good to excellent range, down 3% from last week.
In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted
shelled corn bids up 18 to 23 cents at 6.25-6.43.
Soybean bids traded 8 to 10 cents
higher
at 13.69-13.80.
In Central Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn
bids were 20 to 25 cents higher at 6.30-6.48.
Soybean bids were 8 to 10 cents
higher at
13.72-13.92.
Wheat bids were 20 to 25 cents
higher at 6.05-6.28.
In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 16 to
22 cents higher at 6.24-6.51.
Soybean bids were 7 to 10 cents
higher at 13.75-13.96.
Wheat bids were 16 to 25 cents higher at 6.17-6.40.
