Chesapeake Energy Corp., down $1.58 at $17.03

Reuters reported that the oil and gas company colluded with a rival to suppress land prices in apparent violation of antitrust law.

Constellation Brands Inc., up $2.49 at $21.86

Shares rose on reports that Anheuser-Busch InBev NV could buy Mexican beer maker Grupo Modelo SA, with which the spirits maker has a joint venture.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., down $1.23 at $34.13

Federal regulators delayed deciding on whether to approve an experimental anticlotting drug developed by the drugmaker and Pfizer Inc.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., up $1.71 at $39.72

The maker of generic drugs said a federal court reaffirmed patents protecting its multiple sclerosis treatment Copaxone.

Kirby Corp., down $5.65 at $45.45

The barge operator cut its outlook because of weak engine sales and declining demand for some natural gas drilling equipment.

J.C. Penney Co., down 85 cents at $21.71

Investors have grown increasingly concerned about the department store's ability to turn itself around after a top executive left.

NASDAQ

Research in Motion Ltd., down 75 cents at $9.11

Morgan Stanley downgraded the troubled BlackBerry maker, predicting that its stock would decline further as its business deteriorates.

Quest Software Inc., up $1.48 at $27.70

An unnamed buyer offered $2.32 billion for the technology services provider, ramping up the battle for the company.
