Parsons has been a right-side hitter for Springfield High School. In
her sophomore year, she received the "most improved" award, which
was followed by the "most dedicated and determined" award in her
junior year. Her consistent determination and improvement led to
becoming varsity team and game captain in her senior year. The
Springfield High varsity volleyball team won the city championship
both years that Parsons played at that level. "I knew Lincoln
Christian University was the place I wanted to further my education,
the moment I stepped foot onto the campus," Parsons said. "This was
not only because of the beautiful campus, but because of all the
warm and kind people I met. I feel at home at LCU. I wanted to have
a place that would provide a Christian outlook on whatever career I
chose. Lincoln (Christian) does just that. I know and love lots of
people that have graduated from this school, and I am excited to
follow in their footsteps. I also look forward to being a part of
such an amazing volleyball team."
The LCU volleyball team has made 16 consecutive trips to the
NCCAA Division II national championships, finishing in the top four
10 times, which includes two championship titles.
