Narrative: On Sunday at 10:36 p.m., Unit 1 was traveling
southbound on Interstate 55 near milepost 131. The driver said she
was traveling southbound in the left lane, and as she conducted a
lane change, she struck a patch of ice. She said she lost control of
her vehicle, struck the guardrail on the west side of the roadway,
crossed both lanes of travel again and struck the guardrail on the
east side of the roadway.
The driver was transported to Abraham Memorial Hospital in
Lincoln for treatment of minor injuries.
