On the men's side, the top finisher was Norvel Mohammed. He earned
all-American honors with a second-place finish in the 200 with a
time of 21.80. Albert Murrey placed third in the 800 with a new
school record of 1:55.0. Burnell Gordon placed eighth in the long
jump, and Luke Padeskey placed 10th in the 5,000.
On the women's side, Samantha Horton placed eighth in the 200
with a new school record of 25.04. Hannah Singleton placed ninth in
the 5,000 with a new school record of 19:32.8.
Coach Herron said: "I was very pleased at how well our athletes
performed here this weekend. For the most part they placed well
ahead of where they were seeded. We now have to build off of this as
we head into the outdoor season."
The Lynx will next compete on March 31 at EIU.
