MARCH 6

BICYCLE BRAKE CABLES 

W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. is recalling Bicycle Brake Cables for Road Bikes sold nationwide and in Canada from January 2008 to January 2012.  When the brake cables are installed on CampagnoloŽ style brake levers, they can detach, causing the brakes to fail and posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves GOREŽ Ride OnŽ Low Friction System brake cables for road bikes and GOREŽ Ride OnŽ Professional System brake cables for road bikes. "GORE Ride-On" is printed on the housing for the Low Friction cable. "GORE Ride-On Professional" is printed on the housing for the Professional System cables. The ends, or attachment heads, on the Campagnolo systems have the letters "C" "CC," or "RO" imprinted on them. UPC codes can be found at www.recalls.org

MEDICINE CONTAINERS 

Locker Brand Inc. is recalling Medicine Bottle Storage Containers sold nationwide from June 2010 to October 2011. The medicine container can open by applying pressure to the latch when it is locked. This could result in unauthorized access to medicine bottles in the container. 

The Rx Locker is a medicine bottle storage container. It has a metal, three-number combination lock on the front. Production batch numbers are printed on the bottom of the container. The recalled containers were manufactured between May 2010 to December 2010 and can be identified by the last six numbers in the production batch number. Recalled batch numbers end with: 052 010, 062 010, 082 010 and 122 010.

SWING SETS 

BCI Burke Co. is recalling 2 3/8 inch Arch Swing Sets sold nationwide from January 2004 to December 2011. The welded connection of the sleeve joint to the arch support can crack or break. When this happens, the top swing beam can collapse. 

This recall involves the end and middle arch supports on Arch Swing Sets and added bays with belt or bucket seats built with 2 3/8 inch steel tubing. "Burke" is printed on identification labels that were provided to installers who may or may not have put them on the swings.

BOYS' JACKETS 

Umbro USA is recalling Umbro Boys' outerwear jackets sold at Ross Stores nationwide from April 2011 to January 2012. The boys' jacket has a retractable elastic drawstring at the waist with a toggle that could become snagged or caught in small spaces or doorways, which poses an entrapment hazard. 

This recall involves boys' nylon jackets sold in sizes medium to extra large that can fit children through size 14. "Umbro" is printed on the front upper right side of the jackets. The bottom of the jacket has a drawstring with toggles.

DESKTOP COMPUTERS 

Lenovo is recalling Lenovo ThinkCentre M70z and M90z desktop computers sold nationwide from May 2010 to January 2012. A defect in an internal component in the power supply can overheat and pose a fire hazard. 

The recalled all-in-one desktop computers, or PCs, are flat-panel monitors with the PC integrated into the monitor housing itself. The computer chassis has a matte black finish with the brand name "ThinkCentre" in the lower left hand corner of the monitor front. The recalled desktop model numbers are M90z and M70z along with the serial number and manufacturing date code can be found on a label on the underside of the unit.
