Lincoln College basketball players named to region, conference teams

[March 15, 2012]  The Lincoln College men's and women's basketball teams placed players on the Region 24 and M-WAC first and second team.

HardwareOn the men's basketball team, Brandon Pullman (Rock Island HS) was a first-team all-region and first-team all-M-WAC performer. Pullman averaged 18 points for the Lynx, who ended their season ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA polls after being ranked in the top 20 all year. Tylon Deal (Peoria Richwoods HS) was selected to the all-Region 24 second team and was a member of the all-M-WAC first team. Deal averaged 12 points a game, and 16 points a game in the region and conference. The Lynx finished their season at 23-7 and won the conference for the fifth year in a row.

On the women's team, Ally Friday (Metamora HS) was selected to the Region 24 all-region team and second team all M-WAC. For the season, Friday averaged 11.6 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game, shot 40 percent from the field and 74 percent from the line.

"Ally is very deserving of these honors as she had a tremendous freshman season on the court," said head coach Carol Wilson.
