Mt. Pulaski- Mildred Lowe Hickey of Pasadena, Texas, formerly of Mt. Pulaski passed away on March 14, 2012.
Mildred was a bookkeeper for thirty years in Mt Pulaski, a member of the Mt. Pulaski Christian Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Scroggins Gee Post 777.

She was born May 16, 1923 in Macon County, a daughter of Robert and Nettie Gandy Sturgeon. She married Silas M. Lowe on December 23, 1940. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1979.

She then married Wm Bryan Hickey on September 23, 1981. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1979.

Survivors include two daughters, Rose Marie Smith of Pasadena, Texas, and Donna Jean (Terry) Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
One stepson, John (Susan) Hickey of Lisle, Illinois.
Seven grandchildren, sixteen great- grandchildren, and seven great-great- grandchildren.
Two stepgrandchildren, and one step- great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Sue in June of 1945, and one son, Silas M Lowe II in June 1985. She was the last survivor of six sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will be Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Christian Church in Mt. Pulaski with Pastor Silas M. Lowe III and Pastor Mark Weber officiating. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 March 18, 2012 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski.
