[March 17, 2012]  Sue Roberts will retire from Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital this month after a long career in nutrition services. She has worked in her department at ALMH for 39 years.

"My goal is to help my family out with what they need, to be a benefit to them, and I want to travel and do more gardening," she said.

Roberts ordered a bicycle so she can enjoy the outdoors even more. She also plans to spend more time with her three granddaughters, ages 13, 11 and 8.

But she will miss ALMH -- especially the people she works with. That's what she's enjoyed the most -- after moving to the new hospital. She enjoyed being a part of that historic process.

"It seems like everyone had a hand in that," she said. "You see the progress that's been made from one step to another."

Former and current employees are invited to join Sue as her contributions to ALMH are celebrated with a cake and punch reception Monday afternoon from 1 to 3 in the Steinfort Rooms at ALMH.
