4-H Oral Communications Contest results announced

[May 01, 2012]  Logan County 4-H recently had its annual Oral Communications Contest. State fair delegates selected were Cameron Jodlowski, Atlanta, in formal speech; Samuel Squaire, Lincoln, in illustrated speech; David Carter, Atlanta, in original works; and Miriam Carter, Lincoln, in oral interpretation.

State fair alternates are Molly Schempp, Atlanta, in illustrated speech; Matthew Squaire, Beason, in original works; and Hannah Crider, Lincoln, in oral interpretation.

All delegates and alternates won blue awards.

Miriam Carter was selected as the top oral communicator and received a plaque sponsored by Lincoln IGA.

Additional participants and blue award winners were Grace Skelton, Middletown, Livia Harmon, Beason; Cavit Schempp and Kenyon Jodlowski, Atlanta; and Emma Mammen, Nathan Squaire, Caleb Squaire and Sarah Starasta, all of Lincoln.

Judges for this year's contest were JoEllen and Bob Maske, both of Mount Pulaski.
