[May 01, 2012]  A grateful co-worker nominated Sherrie Carlin for Employee of the Month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital because of this phlebotomist's cheerful smile and excellent bedside manner.

Her nominator described Carlin as going above and beyond with every patient interaction, always eager to find the answer if a patient has a question. She is also described as working very well with everyone she encounters, no matter which area they work in. "Sherrie is a great team player who has routine patients that are always glad to see her," the nominator said.

Carlin has worked at ALMH for 5 1/2 years as a phlebotomist in the laboratory department. She was born and raised in Herrick but now lives in Chestnut. In her free time, she loves to spend time with family and friends.

She loves working at ALMH because she likes helping people, loves her co-workers and enjoys meeting new people.

ALMH employs about 300 in a variety of roles. Each month someone is honored as Employee of the Month.
