The
formals in the window of the Main Street Lincoln
office tell the story. This is prom
weekend in Lincoln. Main Street and area
merchants are going to celebrate with
special "red carpet sales" and a new attraction to
this year's prom, a red carpet event as prom
goers enter the Logan County Courthouse.

Fun
in the sun at the Lincoln Park District. This summer there won't be a swimming pool at
the park district, but there are still plenty of
things to do, so be sure to check them out and
maybe try something new.

British boy band The Wanted
--
from left, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Max George
and Jay McGuiness -- visit the Empire State Building in New York
on April 24.
Being a boy band has somewhat haunted the British based-quintet
since its formation in 2009: They had to change record labels
after being told to learn how to dance. But coming to America --
and achieving some success -- is a dream come true for the group.
After releasing two top five albums and five hit singles in Europe,
they've now duplicated some of that in America with the party
jam "Glad You Came," which has spent eight weeks in the top 10
on Billboard's Hot 100 chart..
