Strong to severe storms remain possible this afternoon and tonight

[May 04, 2012]  Strong to severe storms will be possible again Friday afternoon and Friday night as a warm front remains stalled out across central Illinois.

Ongoing storms Friday morning may keep temperatures a little cooler then, but sunshine should develop by early afternoon, helping to create favorable conditions for storms in the warm and humid air mass. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary hazards with any severe storms through Friday night.

On Saturday, the front will still be in the area, so storms will be possible. However, the main focus for strong to severe storms will be west of Illinois.
