Audrey Maske named 2012 Senior-of-the-Year

[May 11, 2012]  MOUNT PULASKI -- Audrey Maske was named 2012 Senior-of-the-Year at Mount Pulaski High School during the Honors Night program on Tuesday. Audrey is the daughter of Bill and Barbara Maske of Mount Pulaski.

On Honors Night, Audrey was presented an Agri-Science Research Award, the DeKalb Agriculture Accomplishment Award, the DAR Award, and Pat O'Neill's Student-of-the-Month. She also earned scholarships from the Mount Pulaski Women in Business, the David Cates Memorial, the Ryman-Fuiten Memorial Scholarship, an FFA
Alumni Scholarship, the Mount Pulaski Education Association Scholarship, the Zonta Club Women's Career Scholarship and the Irma Maxheimer Dana Scholarship. She was honored as the September Senior-of-the-Month and received a "2012 Top Ten Students" award.

Audrey has been a class officer, serving as president her freshman year and vice president her junior year. She is National Honor Society secretary and Spanish Club vice president. Audrey is a four-year member of the FFA, where she is currently the president of the organization. She has also served as secretary, and has participated on the meats judging, livestock judging, parliamentary procedure and public speaking teams. Audrey has been secretary-treasurer of the Spirit Squad and vice president of the Spanish Club. She has also served on prom committee and has been an honor roll student throughout high school. Audrey was active in drama, participating in school musicals and plays.

Audrey has been a four-year member of the basketball, soccer and track teams. She is co-captain of both the basketball and soccer teams.

In the community Audrey has been a Vacation Bible School teacher and has been employed by the Logan County treasurer's office.

Audrey plans to attend the University of Illinois to major in food science and human nutrition, and ultimately plans a career in nursing.
