Logan County Board recognized the Connor Law
Office bowling team. The team from Logan
Lanes took first out of 350 teams in the
junior-senior division in Illinois' United
States Bowling Congress competition.

Members
of a religious group give thumbs-down signs as they shout "Stop
the Lady Gaga concerts" during a rally near the venue of the pop
diva's upcoming concert Saturday in suburban Pasay,
south of Manila, Philippines. They said they were offended by
her music and videos, in particular her song "Judas," which they
say mocks Jesus Christ.
Two local boys competed in a soccer
tournament in Moline last weekend and came home as champions, with
three shutout games and one game when the opposing team scored only one
goal. They will play again in Bloomington this weekend. The two
local boys, Michael Bruce and Brady Thomas, are pictured in the front row.
