[May 21, 2012]  Save the date. In order to get even more churches involved, Together for Lincoln is moving to a Saturday this year, Sept. 29. This will allow for a more uniform start time and better overall communications.

Together for Lincoln will still have a community worship service at Lincoln Christian University on a Sunday evening, Sept. 30.

Right now, TFL simply wants you to save the date for this year. In a few weeks, the project and volunteer forms will be available at area churches, businesses and on the website.

Since TFL began five years ago, wheelchair ramps have become one of the trademark projects.

Last Saturday the group kicked off the 2012 day of service by completing the 50th ramp, which was constructed at Lincoln Church of the Nazarene on Woodlawn Road, just across from Culver's.

Lincoln Church of the Nazarene has been on board with TFL since its inception, and the church provided all the materials for the project plus lunch for the crew.
