[May 23, 2012]  The Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership is announcing the first Community Development Award. On a yearly basis, the partnership board has decided to reward a person, organization or group of people for their work within Logan County to enhance economic development and the quality of life. The award winners will be chosen by the citizens of Logan County. The individual or group will be announced and presented the award at the development partnership's annual luncheon, which is on June 13 this year.

The partnership board is looking for nominations of people, organizations and formal groups of individuals who have been instrumental in the economic development of Logan County communities or the enhancement of our county's quality of life. To nominate someone or a group for the Community Development Award, email econdev@lincolnlogan.com with the answers to four simple questions:

  1. Name and contact information of nominee(s)

  2. What community or communities have been affected by the work of the nominee(s)?

  3. How did the work of the nominee(s) affect the identified community or communities?

  4. Your name

Nominations are due by May 29.

"Every community has an individual or group that is willing to lead the development of their town. With this award we hope to recognize some of the great work all of those individuals have done in Logan County," said Michael Maniscalco, executive director of the development partnership.
