Dancing flatware, menacing wolves and singing furniture fill the
stage in this Disney adaptation of the beloved fairy tale. The
Penguin Project is a unique group of individuals who take to the
stage to perform a modified version of a well-known Broadway
musical. All roles are filled by individuals with disabilities.
Performers with disabilities are paired with same-age peer
mentors who support them throughout the rehearsal and performance
schedule. The Penguin Project is open to any individual age 10 to 24
with a disability, plus peer mentors ages 10 to 21.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. June 8 and 9 and at 2 p.m. on June
10.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth and are available at
the Bloomington Parks & Recreation office, 115 E. Washington St.,
Suite 103.
