[May 25, 2012]  McLEAN -- Sugar Grove Nature Center announces two family programs at the beginning of June.

Crayfish and a Campfire

Friday, June 1, 7-9 p.m.

No, we're not going to eat them! Participants are invited to learn about crayfish -- little, lobster-like critters. Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to create a crayfish craft, and then everyone (except the crayfish) will head out to the campfire for s'mores and lemonade. This program is perfect for families.

Fee: Free for nature center members, $5 for nonmembers. Registration required.

Bring the family out for a day of fun at the nature center. There will be a guided hike at 11 a.m. Stop inside to create a make-and-take craft at any time, and don't miss the feeding of the turtles and snakes at 1 p.m.
