After the traditional morning
service at Lincoln American Legion Post 263, guests were invited
to stay for a ham and bean lunch, complete with toppings and homemade corn bread. The
lunch was free to anyone who wished to attend, but there was a
"tip jar" for free-will donations by those who wanted to
contribute. The dining
hall of the Legion quickly filled as a large majority of the folks
who attended the morning service stayed for lunch, then lingered, visiting and waiting for the afternoon balloon launch.
