Among the many people enjoying
lunch inside the Legion on Monday were Bill and Jean Gossett. Gossett is a veteran of foreign war, but on Monday his true focus
was on two young men who sat at the table with them.
Taylor Hibbard and his friend Shane Benedict
were special guests of the Gossetts. Bill Gossett explained
that young Taylor had heard he was a veteran and had brought a
dollar and put in the balloon launch so Gossett's name could go
up in the air with all the hundreds of others.
Gossett said it was such a special thing that
he wanted Taylor to come and join in the day, along with his best
