On Monday there were no generation gaps present at the American Legion Post 263 Memorial Day services. The crowds of people ranged in age from the very young to the young at heart, all enjoying the day and remembering that the reason for coming together was to celebrate those who have fought for the freedoms we now enjoy.

In the afternoon, The Christian Village brought out a busload of its residents to take part in the balloon launch. Members of the Lincoln Community High School National Honor Society were there passing out cold drinks and snacks to the special guests.

Strewn into the mix were toddlers, children, teenagers, all the way along the line to those who have lived a long life and are now enjoying the twilight of their years.
