Construction between Atlanta and US 136

[May 31, 2012]  Beginning on Monday, County Highway 25 will be resurfaced. The project will involve microsurfacing 4.2 miles of the roadway between Atlanta and U.S. 136.

Sections of the road will be closed during the course of construction. The project is expected to last up to one week.

Microsurfacing consists of the application of a latex-modified asphalt, along with portland cement and coarse aggregate. The result is a preventive maintenance treatment that should address the roughness and extend the life of the existing pavement. The roadway will have pavement striping done later this summer.

The highway department always appreciates the cooperation and patience of the public during the construction season
