Together for Lincoln fundraiser dinner

[May 31, 2012]  Together for Lincoln will host a butterfly pork chop dinner on June 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lincoln IGA parking lot. In addition to the pork chop sandwich, the dinner will include green beans, au gratin potatoes and a roll.

The cost of the meal is $8. A limited number of tickets will be available on the day of the meal. To ensure a meal, please purchase a ticket in advance from the Jefferson Street Christian Church office, which is open Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

All proceeds will go to support community service projects within the city of Lincoln.

Since its inception just over four years ago, Together for Lincoln has mobilized over 3,000 total volunteers to over 400 different community service projects around Lincoln. This year, Together for Lincoln also completed its 50th wheelchair ramp. Together for Lincoln is made up of volunteers from 16 local church congregations.

The day of service will be on a Saturday this year: Sept. 29.
