[October 31, 2012]  Are you interested in volunteering to help prepare and protect the health of the community? If so, the Logan County Medical Reserve Corps is for you.

There will be a new member orientation on Monday at 5 p.m. at the Logan County Department of Public Health for anyone interested in additional information or in joining the Logan County Medical Reserve Corps.

The Logan County MRC functions as a way to locally organize and use volunteers who want to donate their time and expertise to prepare for and respond to emergencies and promote healthy living throughout the year. The volunteers supplement existing emergency and public health resources.

If you are interested in joining the MRC, contact Shana Altman at the Logan County Department of Public Health at 217-735-2317 or saltman@lcdph.org to register.
