[November 03, 2012]  McLEAN -- The Sugar Grove Nature Center staff is happy to announce that special arrangements have been made with the creatures of Funks Grove to assist with mail delivery. And, this is not talking about just any mail, but letters to Santa.

Boys and girls are invited to write their wish-filled letters to Santa, either at home or at the center's "letter station," then drop them in a special mailbox located along the Imagination Grove Trail. The animals will make sure Santa receives them quickly. Don't worry, Mom and Dad, it's not a long hike. From the nature center parking lot, follow the signs over the covered bridge to the special mailbox in the woods.

Families are also invited to stop in at the nature center's wildlife viewing room; watch the birds dine on a buffet of birdseed, suet and other tasty treats; wish Daisy Kitty "Happy Holidays"; and see the nature-themed Christmas tree. The center will also have food available to offer to the delivery animals as a "thank you."

The creatures of Funks Grove will be accepting and delivering letters to Santa from Thanksgiving Day through Christmas Eve, from dawn until dusk, even when the main building isn't open. Make this a Christmas tradition.
