[November 06, 2012]  McLEAN -- There's something "fishy" going on around here… Illinois has many neat native fishes for us to investigate, but lately someone has threatened their home.

Sugar Grove Nature Center will have a campfire program Saturday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 on "Native Fishes & the Great Carp Invasion." Watch the acrobatic Asian carp leap into the air and learn what it means to be an invasive species. Create a fishy craft, then head out to the campfire. No fish fry here, just tasty s'mores and hot chocolate.

The program is free for nature center members and $5 per person for nonmembers. Registration is required.

For more information or to register, phone 309-874-2174 or email register@sugargrovenaturecenter.org.

Sugar Grove Nature Center is located in beautiful, historic Funks Grove, just south of Bloomington-Normal. For a map and directions to the nature center, membership and program information, visit www.sugargrovenaturecenter.org.
