Veterans in Logan County
filled the American Legion Hall on Sunday evening for the 11th
annual Veteran's Celebration and Recognition Dance. The event was
sponsored by the St. John United Church of Christ Youth Group.
A light meal was served first, followed by a tribute to the various
branches of service by the Don Smith Band. The band also provided
music that enticed numerous couples to hit the dance floor and
literally kick up their heels.
All year the youth raised funds for this celebration that honors the
veterans of Logan County or any veteran who was deployed from Logan
