[November 06, 2012]  LINCOLN -- Ivan R. Parrish, 69, of Lincoln, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at 10:11 a.m. at his home.

LINCOLN-Ivan R. Parrish, 69, of Lincoln died at 10:11 a.m. on November 5, 2012 at his home.

Ivan was born on August 31, 1943 in LaBelle, Missouri the son of Verley "Bud" and Helen Hubble Parrish. He married Jeanne Young March 14, 1980 in Lincoln, IL. She survives in Lincoln.

Ivan is also survived by two daughters: Laura (James E.) Adams of Bloomington, IL; Connie Lynn Parrish of Carthage, IL; one son: Ivan Craig (Gina) Parrish of Keokuk, Iowa; eight grandchildren: Layne, Jackson, Jaycee, Austin, Chase, Peyton Kamryn, and Karson; two brothers: Elvin (Barbara) Parrish; Elmer (Lois) Parrish, both of LaBelle, MO; one sister: Faye Lund of Bethel, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Director

Ivan served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears and Nascar fan.

Services will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with full military rights accorded by the Lincoln American Legion Post #263. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to State Bank of Lincoln for the family of Ivan Parrish. Ivan had requested that all in attendance be dressed casually or in St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears or Nascar attire.
