LC swimming and diving results

[November 12, 2012]  The Lincoln College men's and women's swimmers took on Lewis University on Friday. Both men's and women's teams got off to a great start with wins in the 200 medley relays.

LC also got some standout swims on the men's side. Ty Jacobs won the men's 50 free in 22.12. Josh Lercel had a win in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05.10. C.J. Van Wormer won the men's 100-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 48.80. Max Spencer had a win in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.21.

On the women's side, Rachel Dean had a nice swim in the 200-yard freestyle, where she went 2:08.42. Destinee Ganious had a good showing in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.15. Mariana Cury also had a very good swim in the 500-yard freestyle, where she went a personal best of 5:25.61 and got second place.

On the diving side, the women did very well, too, with scores of 181.60 on the 3-meter from Kendra Holcom, who came in first, and Brittany Bilbrew, who got second with a score of 160.35 on the 3-meter.

Coach Matt Dickinson said: "The team did very well this week, put up some wonderful times, to help carry momentum into our next meet, which is a invitational at the University of Chicago."
