[November 14, 2012]  MIDDLETOWN -- The Middletown 4-H'ers and Cloverbuds have big plans for 2013. They are planning a trip to New York City in June. Fifteen 4-H'ers and Cloverbuds will be traveling with 4-H leaders Mary Jo Janssen and Kristen Helton, along with parents and family members, for an educational tour of the city.

The tour will feature sites of New York City, including the Statue of Liberty, 9/11 Memorial, Times Square, Top of the Rock, "Today" show and much more.

Fundraising efforts are in full swing to help offset the expenses for the trip. On Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., the club will host a chili and vegetable soup meal at the New Holland-Middletown School in Middletown. Hot dogs will also be available. The meal cost is by donation. There will also be a silent auction during the meal.

All are invited to help support the club as they continue with their efforts to make it to New York City.
