[November 15, 2012]  For the past several years, the Employee Activity Committee at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has conducted a Thanksgiving basket drive to collect items that will help local families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. The baskets include every item necessary to prepare a family's Thanksgiving feast. Fifteen baskets were delivered to the Lincoln/Logan Food Pantry by ALMH employees as a result of this year's drive.

The "Great Place That Gives" campaign was considered a success, and ALMH plans to repeat the event in the future.

"We have an excellent team at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. The staff is very generous. The tradition of ALMH departments gathering items for a Thanksgiving meal is the latest effort to do our part to enrich the quality of life in our community," said Dolan Dalpoas, hospital president and CEO.

Community responsibility is a core value of ALMH.

Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, 200 Stahlhut Drive, is a 25-bed critical-access hospital affiliated with Memorial Health System. For more information, visit www.almh.org.
