Thursday evening Boy Scout Pack 111 met at the Jefferson Street Christian Church for their Thanksgiving meeting and meal. During the course of the evening, several Scouts were given badges they had earned, the various troop leaders were recognized, and local businesses that support the Scouts were recognized.

Throughout the year the Scouts are involved in a lot of community service activities and fundraisers to support their club. They rely on the generosity of local businesses to help with some of their needs, and they are never disappointed, as local businesses and organizations always come through for them.

As part of the Thanksgiving celebration, those businesses and organizations were invited to be special guests of honor at the dinner. Those who were invited to attend were Peggy's Place, Fat Boys BBQ, Dickson's Tacos and More, Kroger, Wal-Mart, Bonanza, Culver's, Lincoln Rural Fire Protection, NOAA Weather Center, Logan County Board and Courthouse, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Subway, Jimmy John's, McDonald's, Mel-o-Cream, Washington-Monroe and Central School, Best Western, Lincoln Daily News, Lincoln City Council and Mark Mathon.

The evening meal consisted of chicken, smoked turkey and mashed potatoes made by Peggy's Place and Fat Boys Restaurant, and a buffet of sides and desserts brought in by Scout parents.
