The congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church will have an evening of Praise and Pie on Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Pastor Thomas Kamprath will lead the Service of Thanksgiving beginning at 7:00 P.M. Following the service pie and coffee will be served for those who wish to participate in the hospitality hour. Please bring your favorite pie to share!


St. John United Church of Christ Charity Guild is sponsoring a NATIVITY SCENE DISPLAY on Sunday, November 25 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church, located at 204 7th Street in Lincoln. The community is invited to share in this program as we approach the season of Advent.
The display will have placards describing the origin or ‘how it was acquired’ and who is the owner of each. The huge lighted outdoor scene and the stable scene for the sanctuary will also been on display. Some very small displays, very old ‘handed down generations’ to hand-painted sets and one made from corn husks are just a few that will be featured.
Cookies, punch, coffee and tea will be served by the Charity Guild.

November 27, 2012 at 6:30p.m.  LifePointe Church of God, 601 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, will hosting a quarter auction.  Bring your quarters and come have a lot of fun! Let's work on your Holiday shopping together! All proceeds will go to send packages to our troops! Door open to the public at 6:00pm. Food and drinks are available.

 


Grief Share meets each Tuesday at 6:30 pm through the end of November. Meeting will be at Jefferson Street Christian Church, room 208

What is Grief Share: Grief Share is support group for people that are struggling to deal with the pain of losing a loved one.  It involves prayer, opportunities to share your grief journey with others that are learning to cope, and a video curriculum of experts who share their knowledge as well as their own experiences with grief. There is no cost to attend. The optional workbook is $20.
