Norma Allen

[November 23, 2012]  ATLANTA -- Norma I. Allen, 86, of Atlanta, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at 12:35 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

Norma I. Allen, 86, of Atlanta, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at 12:35 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln. 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Allen will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.  Mr. Ed Loyd will officiate. 

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mountjoy Cemetery at rural Atlanta.

Norma Irene Bicknell was born on July 10, 1926 in Panola, Kentucky, the daughter of  Clifford and Mayme Gentry Bicknell.  She married Charles Warren. Allen on December 15, 1945. He preceded her in death September 25, 2011. 

Surviving Mrs. Allen are her three children: Wanda (Elliott) Rogers of Armington, Wilma (Glenn) Leesman and Dale (Christy) Allen both of Atlanta, one sister-in-law: Marjorie Bicknell of Eureka, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren. 

Funeral Director

Norma graduated from the McLean High School in 1944. 

She loved cooking, flower gardening, going fishing, camping and taking care of her husband and children. She was creative, working with all kinds of crafts when she could no longer go outside. 

We appreciate Memorial Hospice Care and those who helped her at St. Clara's Manor.

Memorials may be made to the Armington rescue Squad or Atlanta Rescue Squad.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
