ZLS students win 1st place at Bible Bowl [November 21, 2012]  SPRINGFIELD -- Ethan Goodey, Kathryn Nobbe and Emily Messner, seventh-graders at Zion Lutheran School in Lincoln, represented ZLS at the Springfield Lutheran High School Bible Bowl on Saturday.

The Lincoln team won the first-place trophy in the seventh-grade division, participating with four other schools. The team correctly answered 49 of 56 questions.

Other participating schools were Springfield Our Savior's Lutheran, Mount Pulaski Zion Lutheran, Jacksonville Salem Lutheran and Champaign St. John Lutheran.

The same ZLS team members won first place in last year's sixth-grade division.
