[November 26, 2012]  MIDDLETOWN -- New Holland-Middletown elementary teacher Diane Bicknell and the Humane Society of Logan County will join to bring a love for animals to the NHM family reading night Tuesday, beginning at 6.

The evening will include special guests from the Humane Society, including volunteers and some of their furry friends who are up for adoption. HSLC volunteers will participate in the evening by either reading an animal-related story or telling a true story about one of the animals they have at the shelter right now.

HSLC will also bring some of their for-sale items such as T-shirts, will encourage anyone who is interested to sign up to be an HSLC volunteer, and hopefully will find some great prospective "forever homes" for some of the animals.

There will also be a book fair conducted by the school, classroom visits including visits with classroom pets, drawings for free books and refreshments.

Families are invited to attend the reading night and enjoy learning more about the HSLC as well as the joy of reading.
