[November 26, 2012]  STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) -- A suburban Detroit man has been charged with murder in the 2011 slayings of four women found in car trunks.

The Macomb County prosecutor's office announced Monday that James Brown is charged with four counts of murder and other charges in the deaths last year.

The prosecutor's office says he's due in court Monday morning in Sterling Heights.

The bodies of 24-year-old Demesha Hunt and 23-year-old Renisha Landers were found Dec. 19 in separate car trunks in Detroit. The bodies of Natasha Curtis and Vernithea McCrary were found Christmas Day in the trunk of burning car.

Three of the women had placed adult dating service ads on Backpage.com.

The Sterling Heights man previously was charged with disinterment and mutilation of a dead body and arson, but not murder.
