All the items offered at the Pride of the Prairie are handcrafted by the folks who are showing and selling them. Even though some of the items might look like something one would find at a designer retail shop, these pieces are more stunning and more reasonably priced.

The glass display case on the way to the ballroom at the park district is all decked out with a large selection of Santas.

Patty Kilby and her husband offer a wide variety of handcrafted items, including jewelry and hand-turned wood items.

The items offered at the Patty Kilby booth are among shopper favorites. The hand-turned wood ink pens make excellent gifts for the businessmen and women in the family.

Delores Bentley offers some of the most wonderful baskets anyone would ever want to own. All handcrafted, each basket is unique and interesting.

The booth of Sharon Sponsler featured woven rugs. Made with rags and heavy string on a loom, these items are reminiscent of those found in every home in the 1950s.

Customers visit with the ladies in the Sharon Sponsler booth about how the rugs are made.

Julia Coppi was on hand to talk about how she creates her wonderful scented soaps and candles.

Shoppers at the Julia Coppi booth had dozens of choices in scented candles and soaps. One of the more interesting items on display: Coffee Soap.
