ZLS Lady Eagles win 2 with Pekin Good Shepherd Lutheran

[November 29, 2012]  The Zion Lutheran Lady Eagles eighth-grade and sixth-grade girls basketball teams both won against the Pekin Good Shepherd Lutheran School Rams on Monday.

The Zion eighth-grade team won by the score of 38-11. Anna Sielaff led the scoring for ZLS with 12 points. Also scoring for the Lady Eagles were Brooklyn Hermes with eight points, Hailie Williams with six, Danielle Burgrabe and Katie Hunsley with four points each, and Gabbie Cox and Tori Tripplett each with two points. The eighth-grade team record now stands at 14-2, with wins in every Lutheran school game played thus far.

ZLS sixth-graders won 29-10. Lane Prather with 16 and Madelyn Koehler with 13 did all of the scoring for Zion. The Rams were held scoreless in the entire first quarter, while Prather tallied 10 points in the opening quarter.
