LC men's basketball results

[November 30, 2012]  GODFREY -- The Lincoln College men's basketball team traveled to Lewis and Clark Community College on Monday and picked up a 95-72 win to move to 7-3 on the season.

Aaron Simpson (North Chicago) poured in 36 points on 12-of-17 shooting, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range. Simpson was 9 for 10 from the charity stripe. JoVaughn Gaines (Gurnee) added 13 points and eight rebounds for Lynx. Andrew Jordan (Peoria) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sam James (Rockford) added 10 points off the bench.

LC led by only two points (39-37) at intermission but lit up the scoreboard in the second half, outscoring Lewis and Clark 56-35. The Lynx got to the foul line 43 times in the game and converted 37 of them for a blistering 86 percent. LC also held the rebounding advantage 51-28.

The men will be in action again this weekend at the John Wood Classic in Quincy. They will take on Black Hawk East, coached by former Lincoln College coach B.J. McCullum, on Friday at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, they will face State Fair Community College at 6 p.m.
