ZLS Lady Eagles win against Springfield St. Agnes

[October 03, 2012]  SPRINGFIELD -- The Zion Lutheran School Lady Eagles eighth-grade basketball team of Lincoln defeated St. Agnes Catholic School in Springfield by the score of 37-36 on Monday.

The Lady Eagles were down by two at the intermission and the score was knotted at 29 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles outscored their opponents by one point in the final quarter for a nail-biter victory.

Zion's Anna Sielaff led all scorers with 19 points. Hailie Williams contributed 16 tallies for the Lady Eagles, including two 3-pointers in the final quarter. Katie Hunsley added a field goal in the first quarter for ZLS.

The Lady Eagles now have a record of 3-1.
