[October 02, 2012]  Detective Paul Adams of the Lincoln Police Department told LDN Tuesday morning that during the overnight hours nine downtown businesses were broken into.

Adams said all nine were forced break-ins with damage sustained to the property. Once inside, the thieves appear to have been searching only for cash. Adams said there were a few of the businesses where they found none.

It is believed that the break-ins occurred between 1 and 3 a.m.

The businesses affected are Mama's Arcade, Lincoln Theater, Prairie Years, Wibben Computer Services, Blue Dog Inn, Stuffed-Aria, Miller & Miller Law Offices, and Daisy's Nail & Hair Spa.

At the moment Adams said police are still investigating the crimes and looking for evidence and information. If anyone knows anything about these crimes, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 732-3000.
