[October 08, 2012]  BLOOMINGTON -- Comedy satire troupe the Capitol Steps returns to the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday to celebrate election season.

Founded by Capitol Hill staffers in 1981, the musical comedy group has performed for five U.S. presidents and has delighted audiences with topical skits and songs ripped from the headlines.

The Capitol Steps has recorded over 30 albums of parody songs. Their latest recording, "Take the Money and Run -- For President," was released this year. Tracks from the new album include "If I Tax a Rich Man" and "You Can't Hide this Biden Guy."

Capitol Steps has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC and PBS and presents its "Politics Takes a Holiday" radio specials four times a year.

Larry King has said, "They're the best. There's no like them, no one in their league."

The Oct. 13 performance is sponsored by Ronda Glenn Law Offices.
